I'm in the market for the best camcorder that $500 can buy. To all camcorder gurus, what do you recommend. It's for home-use, nothing fancy! I'm not really particular on any brand, just the best out there that $500 can buy. I have been researching on Dell but I guess my lack of knowledge about cams is failing me. Thanks in advance, |

I think for your needs, a 335xi would be the way to go. You get a great deal of performance with the security of AWD. If you are concerned about the turbos, perhaps a 328xi would be fitting. After all, it *is* a BMW!

Look for a camcorder that is made by a camera/camcorder company, not a computer company. Canon, JVC, Sony etc. are good places to start. Go to a camera store and look at what they have. A general-purpose home electronics store is next-best if there isn't a real camera store near you, but realize that the staff in those places is just there to make a sale and they don't usually know much about what they are selling.

I didn't look at your car. You posted in the wrong forum. I was being sarcastic.

I love my Sony HDD SR-40.
30 GB harddrive, super light and option filled. User friendly and best of all, fully functional touchscreen. Also, one touch burning to discs.
