Is there a place to install this option on a 2006 530i? If so where and how. Include photos if you have them. Directions if you have them. Part number if you have that.

I called my dealer today and they want 346.25 plus tax to install it. I didn’t expect it to be that much just for an input jack. I would think that the thing would control my ipod for that much. I'm going to check for other options before I make a decision

Pretty good scam I say.
Charge folks a lot of loot to plug in a cable and also charge to update the CIP software so the AUX ports will work.
Mind you the CIP software would be upgraded for free any other time during the warranty period.
By the kit, install yourself. Then wait for your next service/software update.

Where did they run the cable to for that install cost? I gather that some have it run to their glove box, others to the center console storage compartment.
