 HPS vs. Rear Airbags

I purchased a CPO 04 545i last week. This car does not have the rear airbag option (at least from all the documentation that the dealer gave me). On the inside of the C-pillars, there is what looks like some sort of airbag with a "HPS" label on it. Is this the same thing? If not, what is HPS and how does it differ from rear airbags?

The HPS label you saw is not the rear side airbags. The rear side airbags protect the torso area of back seat passangers. The HPS on the C-pillar is a airbag that protects the heads of occupants in the event of a roll over. The HPS airbag is standard.

enjoy your new car!!!
