530xi v. 530i
Hi all. I'm from So. Cal. and looking to purchase my first BMW via ED. I plan on moving to Colorado in a year or so, and want to purchase the all-wheel drive in anticipation of that move. However, I am unable to test drive one (AWD) locally. So....Is there anyone who could explain the major differences that one would notice by test driving these two cars?
In case this is unclear...I have test driven the RWD and am looking for a handling comparison to the AWD. I appreciate the help.

At any rate, You can't feel any difference at all from the i to xi with the only exception that we had snow here in KY two weeks ago and I wasn't slipping and sliding everywhere! Remember, you are in RWD unless the car detects slippage in the rear tires and then it automically diverts the power to all wheels.
The car awesome!
