Hi! This warning light flashed briefly on my E60 instrument cluster (the tiny square screen where the temp and time normally displays) and then went away: A triangle with a snowflake in the middle. Can anyone please tell me what this warning light means? Should I be concerned?
Thank you so much!
Cheers, Suntan

You are seeing the ICE WARNING, which appears when the outside temperature drops to 37 degrees.

Thanks so much! Hmmm....I don't really think it got below 37 F though....very strange....maybe something is wrong with my sensor. But then again, I wasn't paying attention to the temp reading at that time....maybe it was a wind gust or something. Thanks so much for the info though.

This warning has come on and off lately and I couldn't figure out what it was for the life of me!! I've been through the owners manual, but there wasn't a picture of this warning...only a description on page 72 about the ice warnings, but it didn't say what it looked liked! I finally thought to do a search and came up with this. Thanks, this has been driving me crazy trying to figure out what it was!! Any source for seeing what the full inventory of warning lights are, or is this the only unexplained indicator?? Thanks again!

There is quite a bit of info in my 2004 owners manual:
P13 -- Indicator and Warning Lamps
P68 -- Check Control (including supplemental information)
P78 -- Brake / DSC Warnings
How a car is optioned out ultimately determines the warnings and that may be the reason that there is no comprehensive chart.

Thanks...I saw all of those...there are a lot of pages that describe the indicator and warning lights...which made it even more puzzling that I couldn't figure out what the "snow flake in the triangle" was...just made me wonder if there were any more of these unexplained warnings.
