Looks like a Christmas gift from BMW

Yes I just spoke to BMW service and they confirmed that CIP 20 is here since yesterday and MP3 is available. They have loaded the software since yesterday afternoon but have not yet test it

Someone in US please confirm this!!

The software is delivered by the internet, so any dealer with the proper BMW firewall system
should have it!

Hi guys,

i have read several threads in german forums that the cip 20 supports mp3 for the older cars equipped with nav pro. most of the people who have already had mp3 were because either they were 06 nav pro or nav bus models.

from this point of view, i guess bmw just wants to wish us merry christmas.

greetings from vienna

Cool, now maybe our MP3 support will work now.

Someone on another post mentioned they have CIP 20.x as well. I am in no hurry though, I will wait to next oil change. By then the "what's new info" and bug fixes will be out for what this new version introduced.

My '05 with Nav Pro goes in for service on Thursday. I'm not optimistic about getting it, as my dealer feigns ignorance whenever I ask anything about software upgrades. (Wagner BMW, Shrewsbury, MA).

Any chance the new software will improve Nav?

I am very interested in this as well.

I'm specifically looking for the "anti-aliased" look of the "v26" for the MkIV Nav Systems (on the last-gen cars) and the look of the current 7-series Nav.
