I have a 530Xi on order and the BMW web site says my car is En Route. Under the Review Order Detail section it gives an ETA of 12/29/05. I'm hoping this is the ETA for when it will arrive at the dealer and not the VPC but I'm not sure.
How accurate are the ETAs? Has anyone found this to a close estimate? I'd love to be driving the car before the start of the new year.
Thanks

Don't know if it helps, but my car shows an estimated delivery date of last Friday (12/16/2005). It has not arrived at my dealer, yet.

I didn't realize that the OC website showed estimated delivery... Here's what you can do -- call your dealer and ask him for the name of the ship and shipping company (most likely WW). then you can go to their websites and get the ships schedule. you can also go to a couple of ship-navigation websites and track where the ship is.
here's the FAQ from e60.net with all the links:http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=2115&st=15
my 530xi got on a ship on 11/28 and got to NY on 12/11. Last friday it got released from VPC, got on a truck and made it to the dealership (NYC). I'm picking it up tomorrow
Good luck with yours... where in bucks county are u?

Thanks for the information. I thought the dates were too good to be true.
I live in Jamison, PA which is close to Doylestown & New Hope. I ordered the car from Flemington BMW. Hopefully the car comes into a port in North Jersey which should make the trip from the VPC to my dealer a short one.

For whatever it's worth, I ordered my car in June 2005 and tracked it. 7 weeks later, the online tracking stated the car was en route. I called my dealership in Bowling Green and it had just arrived on the truck.
Your best bet is to call the dealership and ask them what the status is.
