 530i Start Button Question

Ok I am confused. I have read the past threads and just not sure I understand. Should the 530i have a start button or not?

Do you mean "should it" as in "do you want one", or do you mean "does it come with one"? If you have *ANY* E60 produced from September 2005 or later, then it comes with a Start Button. What this means is that you can have a 2006 530i that does NOT have a Start Button. The 2006 530i started production in March 2005.

Clear as mud?

LOL. A dealer is trying to sell me a 530i with no start button (I kinda like them). He told me that no start buttons on 530's unless you get comfort access. I think I am understanding now. He is trying to sell me an older production 2006 and lying about the start button.

Baaaddddd salesman!!

The 530xi that I just picked up this week has a start button...and no comfort access package...so I agree, it must be an older production model!

I've found the overwhelming majority of sales people do NOT know their product. There's a general degredation of professionalism. Everyone wants the sale and big bucks, and FEW understand the important part that depth of product knowledge plays in the equation.

This is most likely the issue here. The '06 e60/e61 models without the start button are not an "older" model. They were just pre-September builds.
