530i Sport Package
Does the sport package on a 530i really stiffeen the ride? I am looking for a car that is very smooth but my significant other wants the sport handling. I know test driving both is the best option but before I do that I was hoping to get everyones thoughts!

I tested the car w/ sports package and without before my purchase. I felt there was a difference when going over potholes and bumps. With the sports package w/ runflats you really feel them. The culprit is the runflats which come w/ the sports package.
If smoothness is what you are looking for, you may be disappointed. My Toyota Highlander is smoother. When it comes to corners or turns, the 530i w/ sports package feels like it is superglued to the ground.
However, I still opted for the sports package. Friends (esp. ladies) have commented that they were expecting the ride to be smoother. Friends who drive sports cars like how it rides.
If you are looking for a comfortable ride, you should consider going w/o the sports package or go w/ sports package but remove the runflats.
