Hint: You are using the wrong terminology. If your speaker is broken and it is under warranty it should be fixed. Just dont mention that it is "blown".

Yes, the conversation should start out like...
"Ever since I owned my car I noticed the sound was not right, something wrong with the speakers. It is possible I have a defective speaker?"

good call misterlance. i meant to say "rattling speaker". :-) i guess i was just curious if anyone has had problems in the past convincing a dealer this issue is a "warranty" item.

Playing stupid works...
"My breaks squeek and my steering wheel moves when I break".
"OMG, all your pads are glazed and rotors are warped with 6k miles! Have you been on the track?"
"Is that like towing? I have a Ford for that..."
(I then get all breaks/pads replaced for free).

basicly the speaker can't be blown if your using the stock as is system. the speaker were designed to take the wattage delivered from the stero. there for misterlance statement is true. ps i hate loud music, but that your choice. sould be covered.
