New to site, hi with question
Hi all, I am new to the site. Currently own a C class, and looking into the 530s. I am done with the MB since they dont hold their values too good and I dont know, ever since they came out with the 2005 with AMG this and that and still setting at a lower price than earlier models....I know I am done with them. Was looking at bimmers and man seems like they hold their values pretty good. So my questions will be 1). What should I look into when I get the car, some advice pls...like what is a must have options and whats not. 2). What should I look out for? Extended warranty? Unneccessary options? blah blah blah....3). What is considered a good deal if I want to lease? and where should I go? Please share your experience. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Thanks all. | Welcome. You've come to the right place. The most knowledgable bimmerphiles that I know participate in this forum and they're usually spot on with their advice. I've learned a lot from them.
The 530 is a good choice. I have a 530 Sports Wagon and love it. I've said many times that it's the best vehicle that I've ever owned. If you haven't driven a 5-series, do so soon. The driving dynamics will bring a smile to your face, especially after driving a C class.
I recommend checking both leasecompare.com and also the BMW dealer. BMW Financial Services just released their December lease terms and they're pretty good. Money factor of .0014 with a residual of 60% on a 3 year/15k mile per year lease on the 530i. The 530xi AWD has the same terms. The 525i and 525xi are a little more expensive at .0016 MF and the 530xiT AWD Sports Wagon is really good at .00100 MF, all with the same 60% residual at 36mo. You can add 2% to the residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k/yr.
Unfortunately, I have to leave for work so I can't continue right now, but you'll likely have more info than you'll be able to digest by the end of the day.
Good luck.

| | Reply » New to site, hi with question | wow, I didn't really expect that kinda warmth welcome hahah thanks guys really appreciate it. You see... when I see newbies on the C class forum asking similar questions, all you see is "this has been discussed million times, blah blah blah." or "STFF"...etc etc...and their questions were never been answered
I am starting to love this board. Keep it up
I will do some research on leasecompare.com, and with several other stealers. Hope I can find the best deal, I will check back with you guys once I get some numbers going. Again, thanks for all your help.

Again, thanks for all your help. | I have recently leased a 2006 530i - 36 months, 15K, $1155 due at signing and $712/mo (tax included) Titanium Silver with Black leather Steptronic Premium Pkg Navigation Cold Weather
The car is mainly for my wife. I have only driven it a few times and I must say that the ride is incredible. I have been an Infiniti fan (and still am). However, the 2006 530i rocks!
