What are the differences between a regular 325i and a 325i sport package (for E46)?

My car is a bit older so some things might have changed but the major items that are common to all the models are...
Sport Suspension Sport Steering wheel bigger tire/wheel package...probably 17" for a 325 Sport seats

The sports package officially makes the car an Ultimate Driving Machine...

When you say "Sport suspension", do you mean how high above the ground the car is? I'm asking because my 04 325i has 16 inch stcok wheels and I want to put more "sporty" 17 inch wheels on it and get rid of the old ones. If I do, would I need to lower/higher my car to make it look more "sporty" with 17 inch wheels?

On my 323i with the sport package, its sits lower than the regular suspension, but probably only an inch lower at most.
The real magic of the sports suspension is the handling it offers. The car handles far better than the it would otherwise due to the different spring rates and the stiffer shocks.
As long as you size your tires properly, you shouldn't have to do anything to the car when you add the 17" wheels. The car will sit the same hight and have the same gap around the wheel wells. The only thing the larger wheels do is make for a larger wheel and less tire. The overall space taken up is the same...again if you size your tires properly.
The answer of whether to rais or lower the car is up to you and your tastes. Personally I wouldn't lower my car unless I moved to Europe where the roads are much smoother.
