 Few Questions I Need Answered..

Guys, tell me if I'm right:
- 06 5 series does not have MP3 player integration. You need a FM modulator to play iPod or pay extra for a kit correct?

- the CD changer in 5 series plays mp3?
- $2000 off European Delivery priece on a 550i is a good deal
- there is a siginificant difference in power between a 530 and 550 and it can easily be felt

1. Correct. You can get an FM modulator or an Aux Input.
2. As of October, all 5 series play MP3's on the in-dash player.
3. You should pay about $1000-1500 over invoice for European Delivery, and pay invoice on all the options.
4. Yes, there is a significant power difference which can be easily felt.

The V8 is awesome, although pricey. It is well worth it if you have the bucks.

I think it is interesting to read this on the forum here, which I have seen several times:

'you should pay about $1000-1500 over invoice for ED, and pay invoice on all the options'

Think about that for a second...

Now that you have had a second to think about it, the statement is sort of odd.

Let's say that the car is 52k ED invoice, your options amount to 7k total ED invoice. You pay 1k over invoice, and in this case 'pay invoice on all the options', which comes to 60k. If you just added them all up, and paid 1k over, you'd STILL get 60k!! That's why I think it is so odd that people mention this. The only time it would matter that you pay X over invoice on the vehicle and invoice for the options is if you are talking about a percentage, as the total amount would rise as you added the options to it.

Essentially, let me just say that you take the car and options with ED invoice price and add 1k. Done.

Correct, better value is no options, which most people won't do.

It is good marketing on BMW's point. They discount MSRP on the base model and make most of it up on the options. They are betting most ED folks wil add a lot of options.
