I have been offered the following deal: New 06 530i, which will have to be ordered, it will take 6 to 8 weeks. It has the following options:
Black Sapphire Metallic
Black Interior
Automatic
Sport Package
Premium Package
Navigation
Sirius Satellite Radio
Rear Seat Fold Down
Rear Seat Air Bags

OUT THE DOOR PRICE is $57, 906.
Broken down as follows: Selling Price is $53,065, California Sales Tax is 7.75%, License and Doc Fees. I would like to know opinions on whether I should except this deal or shop around. Thank you.

Consider European Delivery, you'll save some coin that way and get a European vacation on top of it.

Yep, I think you could do considerably better doing ED. Look for the PDF on this site for the ED invoice price of this vehicle and then deal 1 to 2 grand up from that. You should be able to do thousands better than the deal you are looking at.

Well, the ED Invoice Price is $48,210, plus $1000 for dealer profit = $49,210 plus 7.5% sales California and Doc Fees. The US Invoice is $51,370. So, the US dealer is charging $1695 over invoice with a selling price of $53065. Yes, ED would be a $4000 difference. But, then I would have to factor in the cost of airline tickets and hotels, food, etc.. So, maybe anywhere from $1000 to $2000 grand net gain. But, a nice trip to Germany.

I won't be taking any time off until the summer, so I think that is going to eliminate the ED option. I want the car ASAP. So, in regards to U.S. Prices, is that a good deal? Or, should I shop around? Thank you.

It never hurts to shop around, but ~$1500 over invoice is a decent deal. Are you paying wholesale on the options?
