Hi everyone- My 2004 530i does not unlock the doors when i turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition. Currently it stays locked and myself or passengers would have to pull on door handle twice to get out. Can someone provide me with the steps on how to program the doors to unlock automatically once key is pulled out of ignition?? Does having the SMG transmission have anything to do with it? I tried reading the manual and playing with idrive, but to no success. Is this even an option for the e60? Your insight and expertise is appreciated. thanks, Joe for San Diego. |

I know you can adjust the i-Drive to lock the doors as soon as get moving........ (or not), but I don't think it will unlock automatically. Just press the button on the dash to unlock all doors.
