Installing Sirius Radio
I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I have a 2004 525i that has sat. radio prep. If I have the software updated in the car (for another reason), buy the sirius module and bracket, and install them in the harness on the left side of the trunk, will the sirius radio start working once I call the company to activate it, or does the dealer have to do something else to the car to make it work?
| | Reply » Installing Sirius Radio | Nope, still requires a trip to the dealer. It's not just having the latest software, they actually have to "activate" the Sirius so that the iDrive will recognize it and work. Unfortunately no plug-and-play set up here.
