gotta love em. however, my girlfriend pointed out to me that they often seem like they are pointing rather low on the road and there is also a blind spot slightly to the drivers side of the middle. i told her that they are self-leveling and they do move around depending upon the angle of the vehicle and road. any others experiencing a blind spot or the light seeming like it is pointing downward?

The cutoff line (the sharp border between light and darkness) needs to be a little low during normal city driving in order to avoid blinding oncoming traffic. The auto-leveling feature maintains the cutoff position during acceleration, braking, heavy loads, etc. Also, according to some HID FAQ that I read on another site, there will always be a small, barely noticable area of darkness in front of each light due to the return wire on the HID bulbs, and I think that this is the "blind spot" that you are seeing (the return wire shadow). Hopefully someone can followup and confirm (or refute) my statements. Until then, hope this helps.

The "blind spot" you are seeing is the offset between the passenger and driver side light beam. I think you'll notice that the driver side beam is set slightly lower so that it does not blind oncoming traffic. You can manually adjust the level if you think they are pointed too low, but be careful not to overdo it. My M3 was pointed very low and I raised them quite a bit and never was flashed by oncoming traffic. My 545 was not nearly as bad and I raised them a very slight amount and have not had any oncoming cars flash me. Xenons are great and the swiveling feature is incredible!

How exacttly do you adjust them? I can see the 2 little screws on top of the lights, but which one is the proper adjust ment, and did you turn them clockwise or counterclockwise? Thanks for your help mine to are very low.
