Had a bad experience with TYNAN MOTORS in Miranda over the weekend, who are MERCEDES-BENZ dealers, and they have a SHOCKING sales force. I was tossing between the 525i and CLK280C. I settled on 525i because it was bigger, plus it drives nicer, and cheaper than what Tynans offered me for the CLK280C.
Firstly, they are actually Ford salesmen dressed in Merc clothing. Everything was hardsell. When I wanted to trade in my old car, they first quoted me a "changeover price" of $80,000. Then I said no thank you, then dropped it to $40k without ANY negoigation!!!
Anyway I had settled on 525i, and when the salesmen were on my back the next day, they tried to get me to turn back, and what was worse of all, they even offered to sell me a BMW EVEN THOUGH they are a MERC dealer!??!?!?! They said "we have a mate in another BMW dealer who can get a better deal than what you are getting" Well, my response "Mate, how do you know what kind of deal I'm getting?!?!?!?!!!" So I said no thank you, but the SALES MANAGER GARY ROBERTS called his friend at BMW, anyway, despite the fact that I told him NOT TO, and said the salesmen I am getting it from are a bunch of a$$holes...
Long story short... I've experienced this kind of cowboyism from other marques, EXCEPT BMW, who let you have the time to make a decision, in a nice way. Nice going ALTO BMW ARTARMON. No hesitation in recommending them anytime.
Also, the service department is great, they've bent over backwards for me, and with the tinest detail of problems, they've rectified. I'm not the easiest customer in the world to deal with, but when you are buying a $100k car, you'd expect some level of professionalism!!!!!!!!!
PS: I dont mind naming names, because 1) We are in Australia, and 2) No one here is from Australia anyway (right?!?!!) and 3) I'm fuming mad at this particular dealership, who I've bought Hondas from in the past... what a way to treat a customer...

LOL YEA IT TOOK ME LIKE 1 MONTH TO FIND THE CAR I WANTED AND LIKE THE DEALER SHIP NEVER MADE ME HURRY UP OR ANYTHING THEY JUST WERE CHILL AND LET ME TAKE MY TIME . . . I LOVE IT !
