I am trying to determine if I need to buy a set of snows for the winter. Can someone tell me what type of tire (all-season/high performance) is on the 530xi sport package 18" wheels? Also can I run style 124 wheels on a 530xi sport?

Also can I run style 124 wheels on a 530xi sport? | The 530xi 18" Rim option comes with Dunlop or Bridgestone SUMMER Run Flat Tires, so you don't want to go that route for winters up in your area or you will be driving an uncontrollable sled!
I want to upgrade my 530xi to 18" rims, but don't want the runflats, because I don't like switching them out when winter comes around. so I am thinking of getting the rims and getting Michelin Pilot A/S (ultra-high performance all season tire). Decisions Decisions.
You still can't beat a dedicated snow tire and everyone keeps telling me that 18" rims are too large of a rim to drive in the snow. Have to go 17" or under.
Also Style 124 wheels will fit a 530xi.

i use michelin pilot sprott a/s [18"]on my audi tt awd. they have been very good in the mountain snows, in washinton state and across i90 in the rockys. plus i didnt realize and driving differences form the summer preformance tires i took off.

Thanks for giving us hope! I know this tire is great all year around, but having them on 18" rims, I wasn't really sure how effective they would be in snowy weather driving.

check tire rack i believe they even had 19 for the 6 series.
