C & D comparo. Should BMW have won?
The new Car and Driver showed up in the mail box and has a sedan comparison which the 330i won. No surprise there. For those who don't have a subscription or haven't read the article the BMW had multiple problems including a fairly serious braking issue. Car and Driver took braking numbers form a previous test and included them in the current test. I don't know if a car that can't complete all testing should be outright disqualified from the comparison but I don't feel it should win. It feels like a hollow victory at best. I can't think of any situation where this much leeway is given to the winner for non-performance.
Do people feel the BMW should be allowed to win with several issues, one of which is fairly serious (inability to brake properly)?
Place the BMW mid pack and say it probably would have won if not for the issues discussed in the article?
Place the car in last place and say we'll see you next time?
