wheels on an e60
hey, just wondering what kind of wheels everyone has on their e60. I'm looking to get some new ones and would like to see what you'll got | | Reply » wheels on an e60 | guess i'll start off ...
Style 71, OEM, 18".

| | Reply » wheels on an e60 | Those are some sweet wheels!
| | Reply » wheels on an e60 | I think style 71 or 179 would look good on the E60, see pic below of style 179 on an E90, very similar in look to the E60. IMHO, style 71 wheels would look good on any BMW except the X3 and X5. I would like to see a set of style 71 wheels on an E46 M3 (19 inch) but never found one, could be none come in an offset to fit an M3. I did find a picture of style 71 wheels on an E36 M3 that looked good, see below:
Anyone know when style 71 wheels were first introduced or manufactured or for that matter a history of all the wheels (ie. introduced or manufactured, available sizes, car originally designed for and all the cars each wheel will fit with sizes, offsets). Best I can remember the numbering sequence for BMW wheels was around 100 right before the Z4 and have now increased to 196 sine then. Below is another wheel that I think would look good on any BMW including X3, X5 and 7-series, seen them on an E90, really looked good on that car, they also would be very easy to clean front and inside of the rim style 179.
Below are some pics on an E90

From your sign, I bet "his and her" always go to the garage with a big nice stable of bimmers. How much does a set of those rims cost, what type, size and cost of tires also?
