October sales of the 5 Series were up 15.4% when compared to last October. YTD sales for the first 10 months of 2005 were also up 11.7% from the comparable period of 2004.

By comparison, October sales of the Mercedes-Benz E Class were down 6.8% with sales of 4,670 units this month and 5,011 units last October. Sales of the MB E Class were down 13.5% for the first 10 months of 2005.

Please note that BMW NA reported the sale of 362 E39 M5 units this month. Anyone care to comment on this number? I happen to believe that the report should have reflected the sale of the M60 M5 but I haven’t had time yet to confirm a correction. I will update my website when I have confirmed the correct sales figures.
