550 Pricing Question
I'm looking to buy my first 550 this week in Houston, I haven't pre-ordered and was going to take what I can find on the lot. There are a couple in stock, fully loaded - sport package, premium sound etc. I was wondering what the pricing/bargaining guidance would be from the group.
How close to invoice will dealers typically get?
All comments/thoughts/actual experiences would be appreciate.

ask to speak with "fleet sales" or "internet sales", they will tell you over the phone what the dealer cost is, what msrp is, and what they will sell it you for.
Fleet sales has a different overhead structure than sales folks on the lot. They get most of the business from credit union, auto brokers, etc.
Expect to get at least 5% off the car over the phone.
Of course trade in, haggling, etc. can yield better results.
But you can shop online, most dealers have web site with CPO and cars with VIN and stock numbers, pick the one you like and call them for pricing.
DO NOT go in to the dealer without having a fleet rep identified, or you will get screwed.
Also, fleets sales works with any car model/dealer, for future reference.

It also doesn't hurt if you guys are related!
| | Reply » 550 Pricing Question | If you don't have any luck with the Houston dealers, call Mike Lower with Garlyn Shelton in Temple. He's the sales manager. An associate and I talked to all of the DFW dealers and ended up buying two 545's from him last December. Good luck!
