Hi everyone,
I'm picking up my first BMW tomorrow at the Performance Center - Monaco Blue 330CiC pre-pimped for my convenience with Sport Package, Xenons, Assist, CWP and Sirius radio. I'm so geeked. I barely slept last night.
Any tips on making to most out of my trip?
Thanks, Ted

PCD is basically broken up into 3 sections of approximately 2 hours each: 1. track time; 2. vehicle delivery; 3. Zentrum/factory tour.
My suggestions: 1. The 2 hours of track time includes classroom, seat position lesson, bathroom breaks, driving to/from the track/skidpad, etc. The amount of time spent actually driving the car is less than you think. Start pushing the car from the get go: a) it's Not Your Car, and b) you never really attain speeds that are truly dangerous. Don't be left wishing that you had pushed harder in the car. 2. If you want a lot of pictures, don't forget to take them. It's easy to get caught up in the activities and forget about the camera. 3. Ask the driving instructor lots of questions, even during lunch. We got great stories and insight from our instructor about races and road courses around the country. 4. If the instructor doesn't offer, ask about having him take you around the test track in an M car. He'll really wring it out, and you'll get a taste of what BMWs are truly capable of. 5. Plot a route home that doesn't include a lot of monotonous interstate driving. Turn it into a road trip to remember.

As always, check your car over for any defects before taking delivery. Head up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
