I got my new 05 545i about 6 weeks ago. My car has 1300 miles on it. The oil service indicator shows that I need to change my oil after I drive 800 more miles. When I got my car it had 300 miles on it, and the indicator showed that I need to change the oil at 10,000 miles. How odd is this? I haven't been driving like a maniac, and broke my car in properly. Is this a software issue? Is the dealer going to change my oil for free when the indicator says that they should, even if its after 2000 miles or so? Anyone, have a similar experience?
