Should I tell my Dealer to Forget it?
Folks,
Just got a price from the same dealer I've bought 2 other BMWs from of $54,400 for the following car:
2006 530xi Steptronic Premium Package Cold Weather Package Sat Navigation Includes destination charge
Car is still in Germany and due in mid Nov or so. Dealer is located in Southern NJ.
Dealer also offered me $24,300 for my 2002 530i with 26K miles on it.
Would love some advice on what to do...

My judgment, though, tells me this is a bad economic deal. Just think about it: You're basically getting the same car that you're trading in, except for 4WD and some other tech goodies, and you've got to cough up another $30k to get it. Personally, I think the new 5 is just plain overpriced, particularly when you factor in the horrendous depreciation that your '02 took.
I say, pass, and consider a 330xi instead. and sell your '02 yourself to a private party.
