Hello I'm new to the forum. I have a problem with my brakes. Rotors are fine pads are fine. When I use the breaks hard the car stops with no problem. But when I use breaks to come to a slow stop it pulsates and starts grinding.
Feels like metal on metal. Mechanis says not sure what it could be. Like I said if I slam on breaks car stops on a dime but at slow stop grinds and squesks.................Please help.

Change to less noisy pads. Light pulsation under light braking is a sign of rotors having some deposits. Not a big deal.

Thanks for the input..............Started to get worried. Rotors are a bout 6 months old. I will change the brakke pads and see if it helps.

I had washed my car and let it sit for a week when I was out of town - the spot under the pads rusted and I had a rough grinding spot for a couple of days and the brakes pulsed for a couple of days.
