My 2005 545i navigation system has a problem.. When I turn off the engine and pull the key out of the ignition the navigation system stays on. If the stereo is on the music continues playing and will not turn off even after 1 hour.. What can I do ?? Any ideas ?? maybe disconect the battery to reset the computer??
Thanks..I'm waiting here so I don't end up with a dead battery..

Kim Briggs | Take it into the dealer for service - there is a software update that should fix the problem. There is also a way to reset iDrive w/out disconnecting the battery. Its like hitting Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your computer. Ctrl+Alt+Del = Radio power + CD eject + DVD eject

I get cd eject and navigation disc eject but how do you turn off (power radio) radio..So are you saying turn the radio of by using the volumn knob on the dash, steering wheel or are you turning off the radio through idrive?

Are you using Bluetooth paired to a cell phone? This happened to me once. Even though I didn't have a call in progress, when I turned off my phone, the car went to sleep.
