My car idles at 500 which I think is low. What do you guys think?
Also, everytime I turn the car on, the AC is also on even if I turned it off the last time. Whats up with that?

But as far as the AC, have you noticed that your radio comes on with the car even though you turned the radio off and THEN the car off before hand?
Annoying; turn radio off, turn car off. Broke a power antenna motor in an american car when ice froze over it in the winter, conditioned myself to turn the radio off first then turn car off...
But when I turn the car back on, the radio is on too!. It's also odd that turning the radio off doesn't actually turn it 'off', justs mutes it.

However, when the AC is on, the idle goes up to 700rpm and the car shakes, which I think BMW should address. Does your car shake with AC on at idle?

Same thing. Car is a different animal with the ac on-shakes a little when stopped at a red light and the ac always comes on when I start the car even when I turn it off from the previous use.

500 rpms (indicated) sounds normal for idle. No detectable change when A/C is on.
