Would u buy a 2004 545i with...
repair history consisting of and in addition to other things a cracked cylinder head, alternator, battery and CCC failure...
Other things were replaced as documented in the Vehicle History Report but they were relatively minor.
I was looking at used 04 545i with about 16000miles for about 48K and was wondering if these things were red flags...

I wouldn't buy a 2004 model year for the E60, but especially one with a late 2003 early 2004 manufacture date. Too many problems with that being so soon after the redesign. The cracked cylinder head would be the biggest red flag for me, it may be an indication that the car was abused early on in its life. As long as the alternator was replaced and the ccc was replaced, I could probably live with that. If you do decide to get the car, insist on having the software updated to the most recent version (18.1 I believe). Good luck.
