Hello!
I'm a newbie, and excited about getting a new '06 530xi. It was ordered on 7/29, and it's production date is 8/26. I've read about some of the changes that will be made to the '06 5 Series, and was wondering if there's any chance that I'll get those changes on mine. I've heard that all of Europe takes 3 weeks off (anyone know what that's all about?) and didn't know if that would delay mine and increase the chances of me getting the Sept changes. They'd be nice to have, but I guess that's why the raised the prices right after I ordered mine.
Ok, well other than all that..... what else do I need to know about my 530xi that I might not know?

Congrats on your purchase! You will not get the updates as the factory won't shut down until Sept. I am taking delivery of my 525i thursday at the Performance Center after ordering it on June 17th.. The wait will KILL you!

So wouldn't that increase my chances of getting the updates? I ordered it on 7/29, so if the factory has been shut down for the last two weeks or so, I don't understand how they could get my car through production by 8/26.
