2004 525 Nav and Bluetooth Question
I am buying a 2004 525 tomorrow. This doesn't have a Nav but it does have a Premium sound. According to the dealer if you have the premium sound(Logic 7), then it will cost only $800 to install the nav. Any thoughts?
This car was build on 2004 Feb, can I install/Enable Bluetooth?
Thanks, Thaju

Before you buy this car, I would get it in writing that it can be done and what the cost will be. Also, make sure they upgrade the car's iDrive software to the latest version, which I believe is 18.2.
Lastly, I believe that March 2004 build dates and later are the cars that can be upgraded via software for bluetooth. Any time before that, the car needs both the software update and a new TCU (Telecommunications Unit), which seems to cost around $2000.
Hope this helps!

My car is a March 1 04 build and it came with the older style TCU.
