Seat Memory
Isn't the E60 supposed to remember your seat adjustment settings, based on what key you're using? If so, mine doesn't seem to work. My wife uses another key, and whenever I get in the car with my key the driver's seat stays where she left it.
As an aside - even if it was working, I prefer the seat memory buttons they had in the E39. It's all well and good if every person using the car uses a different key, but what happens when you share keys? When you let someone else use your car, don't you usually give them your key?

I think this is a dealer set option. I had to tell them if I wanted that feature programed into the keys or not. I chose not to, all I do is push the button. I could be wrong, but that's what my dealer made me understand. I would ask your dealer to program it if it hasn't already been done.

Hmmm. "Push the button"? What button? I think there's a solution to my problem - I don't know about a button.

Just checking, but you do realize that the key memory is only activated when you lock and unlock the car, right? I didn't see anything in your post indicating that, including your comment about the button.
Basically, when you lock the car with the lock button on your key, it stores all the current memorizable settings. When you unlock the car with the unlock button on that same key, it restores those settings. If someone else locks and unlocks, it does the same. There's an option whether the resetting takes effect when unlocking the car or when opening the door, but you have to lock it in between for it to store and reset.
As far as the memory buttons go, they are independent of the key memory settings. The key settings store whatever was set when the car was locked; the memory buttons store whatever the settings are when you go through the storage procedure (press the M button, then press the desired memory position, IIRC). So, even if you lend someone your key, it's easy to get back to your preferred settings as long as you stored a memory position.

My 330i doesn't have iDrive so it couldn't register seat position with the key. I had the car re-coded today, now the key memory is back; so is the drive-off lock.
