 self-leveling suspension

while in europe in my new 06 530 xit i noticed after driving and locking the car it made a strange sound which was accompanied by what appeared to be the car raising up. i have spoken to two dealers and they have no idea. i am awaiting redelivery now (i expect the car sometime in august). anyone who has driven the wagon have a similar experience? i am surprised that in the bmw marketing literature, they barely mention the self-leveling suspension. mbforme r u out there? i assume that this noise after locking is the suspension re-calibrating. i would like to hear that someone else had the same experience..

I have self-leveling on my E39 and it's pretty much invisible and silent. The only time it will come into play is if you put a heavy load in the boot.
