I have been driving stick all my life. I test drove a 545i and was bothered by the lack of space to the left and above the clutch. The tip of my toes and left side of my foot kept bumping against the side and roof above the pedal. I tried adjusting the seat a bit, but it didn't help. I have an 11 shoe size. Have any of you had this problem?? I test drove other cars with no problem. I liked the car very much, but this can be quite the annoyance. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I know you said you adjusted the seat but are you sure you played with it enough? It is quite adjustable. Do you know what style of seats the 545i you test drove had? Any discomfort with the brake or gas pedal? I have Comfort Seats in my 545i but with the SMG tranny...no clutch for me!

Agent 99,
The other pedals felt fine, no complaints. It's just that my left foot kept rubbing against the top and left side. I tried adjusting my sitting, leg movement, and even tried sitting in another car, all with the same results. This seemed very odd to me, since I have never had that experience, nor the size of my foot is out of the oridinary. The car had the standard 10-way front bucket seats, no sp package.

I have that problem too with cars other than the Bimmer. I agree with Agent99 on the SMG. With the latest SMG technology, I would highly recommend going that route vs. the manual. Plus, you CAN'T pass up the deals right now on the 545.

Yes, William, I did exclude the word "pedal." My sincerest apologies to the 'Fest community for that greivous oversight.
