In the latest Car & Driver (SLK 55 on the cover) they're saying that the V8 in the new 750i is the same 4.8 V8 (slight intake mods) from the 2004 X5 4.8is! Hence the E60's "new" V8. 362hp / 361 ft-lbs of torque. More firepower for the E60! What do y'all think? |

Well, let me put it this way: The lease deals BMW was handing out for the 2005 545i were simply too good to pass up. They were even too good to wait for the extra ponies in the 550i! The E60 styling is questionable but the driveability of the car is simply spectacular.

Well, as you know, the numbers are contingent on a few factors: (1) Price of the car (2) Money Factor (interest rate) (3) Residual (4) Sales Tax I did a euro delivery of my car so I immediately save about 7% off of US invoice pricing. I got a MF of 0.0013 on a 61% residual (3yr/36k) lease and my sales tax is 8.25%. My totally montly on a pretty well loaded 545i is $716/month. BMW also, due the ED, makes one lease payment for you. Finally, I just received a BMW CCA rebate of $1,000.00.
