Has anyone used BMW Assist in accident?

Has anyone used BMW Assist in accident?

My first year of BMW Assist is almost up and I've received a bill for $240 to renew. I was thinking of renewing just for safety sake in case I get into an accident and can't use my cell phone. I have used the concierge service for restaurant reservations, addresses and salon appointments. It works great and they are so nice. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with BMW Assist in an accident situation and if you are satisfied with the service.
