Any E60 owners with 20" rims?

I'd like to know what tire size you have used and how the ride has differed.. For some reason tire rack has the 20" size of 255/35-20 which is about 1 inch taller than the standard tire. Is it just a mistake? I would think the right 20" tire size would be 255/30 but the ride would suffer tremendously im sure of it.. I live in Hong Kong BTW and most every wheel shop will sell 19" max to a sedan due to the bad road conditions. But IMO with the big door panels on the E60 i would need a nice 20" rim to fill out the fenders and make every thing look a bit more even..any thoughts? thanks! and Merry Christmas!

the AC Schnitzer recommends their 20x9" Type IV to be 255/30

i really love the look of the 20" multi-piece AC Schnitzer Type IV

But they are heavy (32/33lbs) not forged, $1200 each, and I think the ride quality would suffer too much

right now its between 19" HRE 547 (also $1200 each in brushed finish) or go cheap, SSR GT3 ($620 each)

any sugggestions?

20's will fit the E39. I just ordered a set. The optimum setup would be 20x8.5 +13mm and 20x10 +19mm. For tires you can use 255/35/20 all around or for the staggered look, 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. In staggered fitment Nitto 555 will cost $1024 or Toyo T1-S will cost $1070. Another option will be to use Falken GRB 451, these are more rounded on the shoulders than the Nitto's or Toyo's so you can actually fit 255/35/20 and 285/30/20 without any problems. The Falkens cost $924. As far as wheels my best pricing so far has been Boyd Coddington's forged series. These are two piece forged wheels which are custom welded. A set of 20's will run about $2600-2800. Check out www.boydcoddington.com or call them and ask for Bob.
