Does the navigation on the E60 allow:

- Waypoints in route navigation?
- GPS-generated MPH readout?
- Ability to see map detail of a different location?

Thanks!

Nope. Because then you'd see how hopelessly optimistic your speedo is.

Yes. Select "new destination" then "by map" (I believe that's what's it's called). You can drag across the map with a crosshair and zoom in and out.

Yes, it is possible if you have option 6UA on your car. Call BMWNA or your parts department of your local dealership give them your VIN and they can tell if you have that option or not. I believe you need two buttons near your i-drive controller, menu and voice. If you have the necessary option and your car was produced in 2003, you can have NAV installed for $1800 until the end of May, 2005. The cost of installing NAV is actually more than $1800 but BMWNA will pick up the difference under your warranty. This is done because NAV was not available in 2003. NAV was available in MY2004 production and is not offered at the $1800 price but if you have the 6UA option, it can be retrofitted at BMW's going rate. Hope that all makes sense.
