I know nothing about cars really. Anyway, I have a 2000 M Roadster. I've been the only owner, bought it new in 2000. I ran over *something* last night...not sure what it was, I was turning into a parking lot. My tires are fine, etc. But, I am noticing a clicking sound...that gets faster as I drive faster/slower when I drive slower. Does anyone know what would cause that? I was thinking maybe something flew up (from whatever I hit) and got caught somewhere possibly? Car drives fine other-than-that, and this clicking started right after I ran over this "stuff." (sounded kinda like trash/glass sound, like when you run over a soda can, or something someone left in a parking lot) Anyone had this happen to them? Alexa |

sounds like something stuck in the tire or rubbing... if the noise goes as the wheel goes, it has to be that

The clicking increases, as acceleration increases. I just hope its nothing serious.

Alexa, Go immediately to the Z forum here on Bimmerfest and read all the threads regarding "Sub Frames."
It sounds like your rear sub frame is separating. I hope not, but you need to be aware.

Could be some rubbish around the drive shaft. The faster you go the quicker the clicking......the slower you go (so does the tailshaft) the slower the clicking. Look under the car for rubbish wrapped around the tail shaft.
