Has anyone converted an e30 325i from R12 to R134?
Was if expensive?
Was it worth the expense?

Thanks in advance for you responce.....

From my understanding you have to change the compressor and everything else.

I've checked with a few people and they all say that it makes the rubber seals all leak.

I'm faced with the same problem, and I havent tried it so if anyone has further input then please post!

Best Wishes

Dave

I'm not advocating that you contribute to the global warming thing but... one can obtain an EPA 609 certificate for the responsible purchase and use of R12 for $20 and a few hours of time. .. http://www.escoinst.com/Section609.htm

I've got one, but mine's from ASE. Entirely legal assuming you have the proper equipment.

Recent ebay price is about $25/lb (for the 12-14oz cans).
